Reticule - Silk - Power of Hands




This beautiful Reticule has been lovingly made by hand. It is made from 100% silk and traditional hand made silk lace from Sri Lanka.

The lace is made by hand using traditional techniques. One metre of this lace can take between a day or a week to produce. The same craftwomen who created this also worked on the lace for the costumes of the recent adaptation of 'Persuasion'.

Power of Hands Foundation assists those most affected by the Tsunami in 2004 through a 'trade not aid' program by creating sustainable employment.
