A Rambling Fancy - in the footsteps of Jane Austen |
|
Author Caroline Sanderson follows her nose around places mentioned by Jane Austen in her surviving letters. She also takes great inspiration from fictional Fanny Price, hence the book's title, which alludes to Fanny's observation; "one cannot fix one's eyes on the commonest natural production without finding food for a rambling fancy" Exploring Hampshire, Kent, and Surrey, Sanderson also experiences a most enjoyable visit to The Jane Austen Centre and it's Tea Rooms! |
