Published by Grant Richards, London as the Winchester Edition. Bound in mid green cloth with title and heavy gilt decoration on spine. Top edge of pages gilded. Vol. 1 frontispiece is a photogravure reproduction by the Swan Electric Engraving Co, of the watercolour by 'Mr. Andrews' after Cassandra Austen's drawing of her sister. (David Gilson E91). Spines are sun tanned but gilding is bright. Some sun bleaching and staining on covers otherwise sound. The set comprises: Vols. 1 & 2 Sense and Sensibility, Vols.3 & 4 Pride and Prejudice, Vols. 5 & 6 Mansfield Park, Vols. 7 & 8 Emma, Vol. 9 Northanger Abbey and Vol. 10 Persuasion.
